At Total Body Chiropractic, the Doctors of Chiropractic are trained in the differential diagnosis of musculoskeletal pain and disorders. This includes the identification of significant joint and muscle dysfunctions, disc derangement and nerve entrapment, as well as more uncommon but potentially serious disorders that can produce body pain.

History Taking

The process starts with history taking. By obtaining the required detailed information, we will rule out more serious problems and direct the examination to the areas and processes that are most likely causing the pain.

Physical Examination

This is followed by the thorough physical examination, which involves postural examination, assessment of movements and flexibility, stability and strength, as well as neurological examination if necessary.

Advanced Testing

Occasionally, it is necessary to obtain advanced testing such as X-Rays, CT scan or MRI (referral).

In most cases, after history taking, examination, and further testing are complete, a differential diagnosis can be established. If the problem is determined to be one that is treatable at Total Body Chiropractic, a treatment strategy is formulated and recommended to you. This plan will be discussed with you prior to the institution of any treatment.
